Fleur Pellerin, Minister of Culture and Communication, and Matthias Fekl, State Secretary for Foreign Trade, Tourism Promotion and French Abroad with Laurent Fabius, entrusted Isabelle Giordano, Executive Director of UniFrance Films, the mission to promote the film, book, audiovisual, music, animation and video games sectors for export.
The success of French cultural and creative industries abroad is a priority for the Government for France’s reputation and competitiveness. In cinema, books, audiovisual, music, animation or video games, France has a creative soil whose excellence is recognized worldwide.
In order to take advantage of this considerable potential, Fleur Pellerin and Matthias Fekl wanted to entrust to Isabelle Giordano the mission of federating all the actors and projects to support French creators and companies in the valorization of their knowledge-do on international markets.
Its activities will focus on identifying opportunities, coordinating the efforts of French stakeholders and increasing France’s visibility in this area. To this end, it will stimulate joint initiatives bringing together the various sectors, and will build on the work of the structures that already support the internationalization of each of them.
As part of this initiative, Isabelle Giordano joined five federators appointed in 2013 and 2014 on export priority families in the fields of health, digital, sustainable cities, agri-food and tourism.
