The cultural centre in Kabul has just been the target of a terrible suicide attack, even though it was being staged.

In condemning this barbaric attack, this cowardly and bloody crime, my thoughts go immediately to the victims and their loved ones, to all those who today have lost a loved one.

The men and women who animate the French cultural center of Kabul, all the artists who perform there have chosen to oppose barbarism the weapons of thought, culture and beauty. I salute their courage and assure them of my full solidarity.
