Artist residencies in the agricultural establishments of Centre-Val de Loire

This mechanism is the subject of a tripartite agreement concluded each year between the DRAAF (Regional Directorate of Food, Agriculture and Forestry of the Centre-Val de Loire), the DRAC (Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs) and the Regional Council giving a common framework to this implementation.

Every year, 3 institutions of agricultural education of the regional territory welcome plastic artists for 3 residencies of creation and mediation - specificity in the region - over a period of 3 months.

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of artist residencies, the 60th anniversary of Sociocultural Education (ESC) and the future signing of the new Culture/Agriculture convention, the partners agree on the need to promote such a system in the regional territory.

In order to promote art and culture, particularly in rural areas, the DRAAF, the DRAC and the Centre Val de Loire region launches a new call for applications for a research and artistic creation residency to promote artist residencies in agricultural educational institutions in the Centre-Loire regionLoire Valley
This research and artistic creation residency is supported and coordinated by the cultural action network «Centr'acteurs» via the CRIPTARC-EPL du Loiret which is the network of public education institutions

This specific residency will be carried out in two phases between 2024 and 2026:
- In 2024, a first phase of research and prospecting,
- In 2025-2026, a second phase dedicated to artistic production and its dissemination.

Profile sought:
A. e artist or collective of artists, writers or directors developing their practice in the fields of publishing, exhibition, installation, podcast, creative documentary, fiction, digital art, video game, radio documentary, etc.
