Accessibility and evacuation of persons with disabilities
Regulations on evacuation
The Public Access Ordinance (PRA), Public Transportation, Residential Buildings and Roads for Persons with Disabilities provides that: the ERP is available on 31 December 2014 and it must be made known to the prefect; either it is not accessible and a scheduled Accessibility Agenda must be submitted by September 27, 2015.
The programmed Accessibility Agenda corresponds to a commitment to carry out work within a set period of time (up to 3 years, except in very specific cases), to finance it and to respect the rules of accessibility.
LES managers must make available to the public a document, called the public accessibility registry, in order to communicate the level of accessibility of the services offered by their institution. The registry, to be as useful as it is effective, must be simple and understandable by all. This simplicity must also be present from the outset. This is indeed a communication tool between the ERP and its clientele, a means of promoting the quality of a reception of all audiences and the attention paid to each one. The objective of this guide is to present and explain what is expected by the legislator and to propose a method of organisation of the register which, while remaining simple, will give it meaning.
