Network of artists' documents
The Artists' Documents Network groups associations Artist documents in the Provence-alp es-Côte d'Azur, Brittany, Rhône-alp es and Aquitaine regions. To date, four documentary collections have been made available, bringing together nearly 400 artist files that can be consulted online.
Each site in the region (see links below) devotes a specific documentation to the works of its artists made as part of the 1% artistic, public or private commissions.
On the occasion of the 60 years of the 1% artistic, the new page of the site www.reseau-dda.org presents the grouping of these many works, testifying to the extent of possibilities and the diversity of practices. This selection points to existing works outside the context of the exhibition, to proposals put to the test of the real, the uses of a place, its "inhabitants" (high schools, colleges, sports complexes, media libraries...). They are often offered in a daily relationship, as a first relationship to art. From sculpture to the laboratory, from photographic images to installation, works interact, support, oppose or isolate themselves from architecture, all of which are consistent with their specific context in the public space.
The documentation collected by the Network of artists' documents presents the contours of each production (images, sponsor, project manager, artist’s intention text...). It also presents works of orders made in the public space (Public order for the Tramway, New Sponsors program, orders from companies, etc.).
