Current Music Working Group (MTWG)
The dynamic of co-construction initiated in 2004 by professional actors, local authorities and the State within the framework of a national consultation, was extended in particular by the GTLIMA (Working Group of Current Music Places), resulting from the work of the CSMA (Conseil supérieur des musiques actuelles). Since 2011, this group has been linked to the CCTDC (National Council of Local Authorities for Cultural Development). For example, it was the privileged place for consultation and co-drafting of the SMAC (Scenes of Current Music) decree of 5 May 2017.
The State pursues this policy of co-construction which it wishes to consolidate and extend to all current music in order to allow a better consideration of the actors in the development of public policies.
The GTLIMA became the GTMA (Working Group on Current Music) in March 2018 in order to better respond to the problems of current music channels and structuring, to better take into account the transformations underway (artistic, cultural, technological, social and economic) and the desire to make cultural rights a reality.
The WGMA meets in plenary sessions several times a year.
