“Liberate the ability of words in you!”: this is the proposal of the French vocabulary contest The Golden Words, intended for students of the 6e at 2ofteams of 7 students gathered around a French teacher. This competition, organized by the Voltaire Foundation, has no other ambition than to propose a pedagogical animation contributing to help students enrich their vocabulary, to build a clear discourse, precise and nuanced, to progress in their expression and also to make them aware of the power of words and the freedom of expression that language confers. A grand final will reward the top 25 teams in May 2023, after a few weeks of training and a qualifying phase. An initiative supported by the General Delegation for the French Language and French Languages.

As a French teacher, only you can register and accompany one or more teams within your school. Throughout their training, you will be able to give them your help and advice and motivate them for the grand finale on May 25, 2023.

Nearly 900 teachers in 50 countries presented teams last year. The registrations are already open for this 4e edition of the contest, talk to your students!
