The data catalogue
In order to improve the sharing and knowledge of the heritage of its data, the Ministry has produced a catalogue of resources produced by the central administration, regional cultural affairs directorates and services with national competence.
The Ministry publishes the data catalogue in its open data version, that is with freely reusable public data.
This catalogue provides a description of the datasets, identification of the source and contact. It allows any user or re-user to access the information if it is already open, or to request it otherwise.
The catalogue lists datasets and their metadata, but does not provide access to the data itself, except for datasets that are already open or searchable.
The use of this catalogue will allow the department to identify the most requested datasets, and to prioritize the opening of datasets based on the expectations expressed, the increase in quality of their data, the increase in the frequency of updates, etc.
