Electronic collection "The Lahic Notebooks"
The collection "Les Carnets du Lahic" is published electronically by Lahic (IIAC, UMR 8177) and the Department of Research Management and Scientific Policy (DPRPS) (Directorate General of Heritage). Working with a peer review committee, this collection hosts research work by members or partners of the laboratory, results of programmes launched by the DPRPS, proceedings of symposia, seminars or study days, student work, on the theme of the institution of culture.
The Lahic is one of the five founding teams of the IIAC (CNRS-EHESS) and a contract laboratory (CNRS-Ministry of Culture).
Created in 2001, as Formation de recherche en évolution, then in 2002 as Unité mixte de recherche CNRS/Culture, before becoming, with CETSAH and LAIOS, one of the three components of the IIAC (Interdisciplinary Institute of Contemporary Anthropology), Lahic is a young laboratory based on the personal adherence of researchers to an ambitious but limited intellectual programme on the institution of culture, which is expressed in already numerous and dense collective operations, requiring a certain amount of time to be fully realized and to produce published results.
Lahic functions as a research network. It includes two poles - Paris and South -, privileged links with certain regions (Languedoc-Roussillon, Franche-Comté), shared programmes or participation as host team that ensure the link with universities (Montpellier, Metz) and an ethnopole of the Ministry of Culture (Garae, in Carcassonne), projects initially conceived as international, all of which require the implementation of a rich and effective communication system. Frequent scientific meetings, in the form of study days and travelling seminars, ensure the regular participation of network members.
