Missions of the College
The College of Diversity intends to support the policies already initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Communication in favor of cultural diversity, considering the plurality of actors, territories and expressions.
As an unparalleled force of proposal in the public cultural sphere, the College of Diversity wishes to become the referent of the entire ministry on diversity issues and in this sense has set itself several missions:
- allow for the identification and removal of political obstacles resulting in the under-representation of certain practices and/or artists on the artistic scene
- formulate recommendations for a better consideration of the diversity of the places of formation, creation and dissemination of the ministry
- allow the identification of new and diminished artistic practices by distinguishing the sectors/fields in which the ministry must develop its expertise in terms of identification in order to recognize and take into account these cultural and artistic practices.
- support the AFNOR "Diversity" and "Gender Equality" certification, which rewards exemplary administrations in terms of equal opportunities, the prevention of discrimination and the promotion of diversity.
