Equality Roadmaps
2022 Roadmap
On the occasion of the Equality Ministerial Committee of 14 February 2022, Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, presented the latest edition of the Equality roadmap, including the regular publication, since 2018, is part of a government policy that has made equality between women and men a major cause of the five-year term.
The 2022 Roadmap thus concludes a five-year period in which the Ministry of Culture is committed to an integrated approach to equality that is beginning to bear fruit.
On the one hand, the awareness of the stakes, and the resistance still at work, is now general. On the other hand, all the services and institutions under the Ministry and the cultural and artistic fields are now covered: the extension of the scope makes it possible to define the levers of progress all the more effective as they spread and reproduce: it is a culture of equality through evidence, built over time.
Finally, the political will at work has made it possible to record tangible results, in terms of the appointment of women to head cultural institutions, of better access to the means of creation and production, a structured and widespread fight against sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, deconstruction of gender stereotypes in cultural content, increased visibility of women’s talents and skills in all areas of art and culture.
The period now opening must consolidate and deepen these first results.
2019-2022 Roadmap
On the occasion of the Ministerial Committee on Gender Equality that he convened and chaired on April 3, 2019, Minister Franck Riester presented his multi-year roadmap (2019-2022) for equality.
The equality roadmap is part of the interdepartmental plan priorities on equality:

- achieve professional equality
- addressing gender and sexual violence
It unfolds on six-axis to improve equality in cultural policies:

Similarly, the promotion of diversity and equality is intended to irrigate all cultural policies, particularly as regards the diversification of audiences, the programming of heritage institutions and performing arts, welcome and support students in higher education institutions culture.
