Research and Creation
The Ministry of Culture conducts a policy in favour of research in art, implemented by the Direction générale de la création artistique (DGCA).
This policy is expressed in:
- support for academic research that links with creation, in particular by monitoring the laboratories included in the framework agreement between the Ministry and the CNRS;
- support for the structuring of research in the higher schools of art and performing arts;
- support for research conducted by artist-researchers or within the structures certified for creation and dissemination (national choreographic centres, national stages, national drama centres...).
