Strategy-SAR
With the National Strategy for Sustainable Development (SNDD) 2010-2013, then the National Strategy for Ecological Transition to Sustainable Development (SNTEDD) 2015-2020, France has developed an overall strategic framework for sustainable development.
A project of civilization and society, sustainable development is a cultural issue: the Ministry of Culture and Communication, by the symbolic force it conveys, by the policies it conducts or in which it participates, has a particular responsibility in this awareness.
Since 2010, the Ministry of Culture and Communication has been developing the overall strategic framework for its policies and responsibilities.
The 2010-2013 Departmental Strategy
To meet the challenge of sustainable development, the Ministry of Culture and Communication formalized its commitment to a Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy (DSDS) in 2010, with the support of all departments. To this end, the Ministry focused in particular on the exemplary nature of internal functioning and the establishment of a transversal and participatory governance.

The 2015-2020 Departmental Strategy
France adopted a National Strategy for Ecological Transition to Sustainable Development (SnTEDD) in 2015. This multi-year strategy covering the period 2015-2020 aims to provide a framework for the coordinated implementation of all the actors of society and sectors of the economy to start the ecological transition.
The ministries, each in an autonomous way, now translate this SnTEDD into departmental strategies (SmTEDD) built on the choices they make and the specificities of the public policies they carry; these departmental strategies also cover the period 2015-2020.
In keeping with the 2010-2013 Strategy and building on its achievements, the Ministry of Culture and Communication wanted to start its sustainable development approach by referring to the principles of social responsibility, Social and environmental organizations: the 2015-2020 strategy of the Ministry of Culture and Communication is thus a Strategy-RSO.
