Par la force symbolique qu’il véhicule, par les politiques qu’il conduit ou auxquelles il participe, le ministère de la Culture contribue à la prise de conscience face à la crise écologique et aux indispensables changements. La dimension culturelle du développement durable, à travers les patrimoines, l’architecture, la démocratisation et la diversité culturelles, la transmission, les industries créatives ou encore la vision de l’artiste, créent pour le Ministère une obligation de contribuer à la réflexion et de faire évoluer ses politiques. Au-delà de ces champs, la nouvelle stratégie ministérielle de développement durable en préparation a l’ambition de repenser l’ensemble des politiques et des modes d’intervention du Ministère.
