For over a year the Covid-19 health crisis
changed the world of culture.

For example many artists could not work,
the performance halls were closed, …

The government has given a lot of money
to help cultural professionals live
during this period. This is called support funds.

The government hasut today relaunch
the world of culture in France.

That’s why on September 3, 2020,
the Prime Minister announced
he gave even more money
to revive culture in France.
It is called the stimulus package.

The recovery plan is 2 mibillions of euros for Culture

This money will be used to:

• Support French cultural heritage,
  for example to repair historic buildings.
• Relaunch the performing arts and visual arts,
  for example, helping theatres, young creators…
• Strengthen certain cultural sectors, such as film,
  the book, the press, etc.

A major investment in the territories

A lot of money has already been invested in the territories
as required.
A territory is a region or department
for example.
This means that some financial aid depends
of territorial needs.

Examples of projects in some territories through
to the recovery plan:

• In the Pays-de-la-Loire region
  The «M'lire» bookstore received €13,486 in assistance.
  This money has enabled
  purchase new furniture and computers.

• In the Centre-Val-de-Loire region
  Saint-Hubert chapel of the royal castle of Ambroise
  received €2 million in aid.

• In the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region
  The «Pola factory» is a place
  where artists can create.
  This place received aid of one million euros
  to do some work.

Reinvigorating our cultural model

Each country has its own cultural model, its own culture.

The €2 billion from the Culture Recovery Plan is used to

• Resume and continue existing cultural activities
• Relaunching French cultural creation
• Maintaining the economy of major cultural sectors

for example French cinema, the book industry, ...

Examples of assistance by business line:

• Press sector
  The state helps freelance journalists,
  that is, journalists who are paid to do the job.
  If a freelance journalist earned less money in 2020
  than usual,
  The state gives him money.

  may receive money from the State.

Calls for projects

To revive the future of French culture,
the government offers professionals to work
on specific themes.
Professionals present their projects.
The government helps the project that best meets its expectations.
