Around the Louvre-Lens
The latest of French tourist destinations, ALL, Autour du Louvre-Lens embodies the change of a territory that spans the entire mining basin and Artois.
By relying on the two international markers that are the Louvre-Lens and UNESCO, the destination obtains in 2015 a contract of tourist destination, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the DGE, which places it alongside 20 other major French destinations on the international tourism scene.
It embodies a new generation of original and avant-garde European destinations whose main theme is tourism innovation and creativity. In July 2018, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs renewed its confidence by extending the destination contract by 3 years.
ALL, «Autour du Louvre-Lens» works for tourism adapted to the consumption trends of today’s society. It spurs a new form of cultural tourism based on experience, people, innovation, differentiation through cultural offer, products offer, authenticity, great national stories, values, creative and contemporary tourism.
To implement the ambition of tourism otherwise and innovative » a source of job creation and economic spinoffs, the Louvre-Lens Tourism Mission is implementing an approach « creative » for the benefit of companies to support them in their positioning, which should allow better matching of offers to the expectations of tourists, better visibility in the market and an increase in turnover.
A unique and ambitious cooperative model unites the destination’s tourism offices in a collaborative platform to make ALL – Autour du Louvre-Lens, a national and international tourist destination.
