Vocabularies of conservation-restoration
In this section you will find dictionaries, encyclopedias or glossaries related to heritage conservation and restoration. Some are fully searchable online.
The collection "Vocabularies"
The vocabular collection allows everyone to use the same words, giving them the same meaning and applying them to the same objects or processes.
In each discipline considered, all the words attached to typologies, forms and techniques are thus very precisely defined, with regard to an equally precisely chosen illustration.
Created by André Malraux and André Chastel, this collection is managed by the Ministry of Culture at Editions du patrimoine.
