Research laboratories
This section presents the research or analysis laboratories of the public sector, scientific centers in the fields of humanities and materials sciences. Some of these structures house conservation-restoration workshops.
The research laboratories listed here are the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture, either directly or through partnership agreements.framework agreement between the ministry and the CNRS Since 1992, it has enabled collaboration between universities, CNRS research units and Ministry laboratories. Private laboratories may be associated with these structures.
Some laboratories integrate conservation and restoration professionals, employees of the institution or external service providers benefiting from the technical platform within the framework of contracts.
Establishments are present throughout the country and may be requested at the time of the study and throughout the intervention. The consultation procedures are available on their website.

The service and research unit USR 3224 CRC (Conservation Research Centre) brings together the CRCC, the LRMH, and the ECR (Music Museum Conservation and Research Team).
These institutions develop numerous scientific partnerships within theFramework agreement between the Ministry and the CNRS, latoratoires d'excellences (Labex) and equipment of excellence (Equipex).
