Several French and international organizations regularly offer training sessions on the prevention of theft and the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural property.
For many years, several French and international organizations, institutions and associations, have regularly offered training sessions on the prevention of theft and the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural property.
These sessions are intended for heritage professionals (curators, managers, documentalists, architects, engineers...) but can also be offered to all stakeholders (elected officials, representatives of the art market...).
In addition, since February 2011, the Ministry of Culture - Direction générale des patrimoines et de l'architecture - has launched, in partnership with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Université Numérique Francophone Mondiale (UNFM), a distance continuing education project for countries in the French-speaking world. This training is free, on registration.
Since 2011 a module dedicated to the fight against the theft and illicit trafficking of cultural property.
In 2013, the 4th module was devoted to the safety and security in heritage places.
