Observatory of written heritage in the region
The Observatoire du patrimoine écrit en région is a tool for presenting and analysing public policies in the region in the field of written heritage.
Created in 2008 within the Directorate of Books and Reading (now Service of Books and Reading), the Oper’s mission is to enumerate in each region the actors, the policies, the means and the achievements in matters of written heritage.
The information comes from data collected by the Book and Reading Service or communicated by the DRAC, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, regional structures for books and local authorities (municipal libraries in particular).
