Advertising is the main source of funding for free private media (print and audiovisual). This mode of financing is however weakened by the advent of digital, which has allowed new players, whose model is based in particular on the distribution of third-party content or the provision of digital services, to capture part of the advertising resources of the media, without contributing to the financing of information and creation.
In order to better understand these issues, the Ministry of Culture and Arcom publish a study, carried out by the firm PMP Strategy, on the evolution of the communication market and its impact on media financing (in particular television, radio and press) by advertising by 2030.
