Arts and Cultural Education
The Ministry of Culture and Communication contributes to the development of educational actions for young people in the fields of architecture, heritage and living environment. These themes are indeed a priority educational challenge because architecture, experienced by everyone on a daily basis, is the first immediate contact with culture.
The Ministry relies on numerous dissemination, awareness-raising and training networks, present in the territory, to promote and implement pedagogical actions in these areas: National Colleges of Architecture, the Architectural, urban and environmental councils (CAUE), the network of Cities and Countries of Art and History, that of the Houses of architecture, the City of Architecture and Heritage, all of which have a mission of raising awareness and introducing audiences, especially school-aged youth.
At the same time, the architecture department supports or initiates the production of innovative teaching tools and has contributed to the portal Art history ” which offers resources to teachers, in connection with the recent introduction of art history at school, college and high school.
The architecture is also taken into account in the large national project ofarts and cultural education, initiated in 2012 by the Ministers of Culture and National Education.
