CNSA - Competition of ideas "Places of collective life & autonomy"
The CNSA Places de vie collectifs & autonomie (former CNSA Places de vie collectifs & autonomie award) competition invites future architects to imagine the medico-social institutions of tomorrow on the basis of specifications. For this new edition, the theme chosen is that of collective living places for disabled adults.
The competition of ideas CNSA Places de vie collectifs & autonomie is organized by the CNSA in collaboration with the Directorate General of Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and in partnership with the actors of the medico-social sector and architecture.
The 2019 edition is supported by the National Coordination Committee for Disability Action (CCAH).
The objectives of the competition
Created in 2008 at the initiative of the medico-social sector and the world of architecture, this competition is organized since 2009 by the CNSA. He intends to attract the attention of architecture students on an important social theme, still insufficiently explored in university programs.
Architecture has real therapeutic virtues. She can easily put herself at the service of the project of life and care of the institution, thanks to a close collaboration between the client and its architect.
This competition is aimed at students whose ideas will renew the architecture of institutions for the elderly who are losing their independence or for adults with disabilities.
The jury encourages the formation of multidisciplinary teams (students in architecture, medicine, nursing, landscaping, etc.) and the inclusion of the project in a global prospective dimension (taking into account medical, social, environmental aspects, etc.).
