MPF - Prize "Architecture & Heritage"
Since 1985, the Prix Maisons Paysannes de France - René Fontaine, in tribute to one of our founders, rewards the restoration of old buildings or contemporary constructions.
This annual competition encourages work done in the spirit of the association:
- respect for the original architecture,
- use of local traditional materials and techniques,
- ecological concern,
- harmony with existing buildings and the surrounding landscape…
It enhances the architectural but also human dimension of the project: materials and techniques used, assistance received, artisans and architects solicited, adventure and history of the project.
The Ministry of Culture and Communication supports the "Maisons paysannes de France" competitions, which aim to recognize and enhance the restoration of unprotected buildings on the one hand and contemporary creations in old places on the other.
The award consists of two distinct categories:
- Catering
or
- Contemporary building
to which the project owners and the project owners are called to respond.
