The Aide-memoire is an upgrade to the 2010 Technical Aide-memoire on the implementation of long-term conservation of archaeological furniture and scientific documentation within a conservation and study centre. It is intended for archaeological stakeholders concerned with the conservation of scientific data in archaeology as well as teams of service providers responsible for implementing a project for a conservation and study centre (CCE).
This document takes into account technical developments, new standards and new practices. It incorporates the terminological evolutions of the law of 7 July 2016 and its implementing measures, in particular the decree of 7 September 2022 defining the scientific data of archaeology and their conditions of good conservation.
It is structured in the form of practical sheets, classified by major themes, intended to accompany the owners, programmers and future users in the drafting of the specifications of projects of construction or rehabilitation of a building for the creation of a CCE. Each theme addresses the technical points for each stage of a project in order to avoid design and operational pitfalls.
The sheets of theme 4 on climate can also be used in the framework of already functional CEC or to set up climate-controlled spaces within archaeological deposits.
