- Identified spaces, for all audiences, especially those with reading difficulties, that present a selection of “easy to read” books;
- works presented from the front;
- mediation and partnership support to bring people who do not come to the library.
The reading offer «Easy to read»

Un logo pour identifier les espaces « Facile à lire » et communiquer
The «Easy to read» logo is intended to be used on communication media and to identify «Easy to read» reading spaces within libraries and mediation spaces.
In order to facilitate the deployment of the «Easy to read» throughout the territory, the Ministry of Culture has acquired the rights to this logo and makes it available free of charge to communities and associations wishing to identify a space and collections corresponding to the «Easy to read» approach.
For its part, the requesting structure undertakes to:
- Install a clearly identified «Easy to read» space within the library, separated from other collections and on identifiable furniture.
- Choose a specific location within the institution for maximum visibility: reception area, at the entrance of the library or in a partner institution (retirement home, reception centre, commerce, etc.).
- Present the front works;
- Have a minimum of 50 books in the “Easy to Read” collection. The “Easy to Read” collection may be from the library’s current holdings. Regularly renew the «Easy to read» collection.
- Create a partnership approach: for a greater success of the «Easy to read» approach, the library is committed to working with partners in the social field of its community, especially with audiences distant from books and reading.
- Provide time for mediation and animation, in order to enhance this space «Easy to read» and reach the target audiences. These mediations can be done during the inauguration of the space for example, or later, and be reprogrammed.
The departmental libraries may apply to the scheme, to the extent that they may be required to compile bibliographies, offer «Easy to read» training, animations or reading trunks for the libraries of their network.
