Headquarters of the Société d'Agriculture, d'Horticulture et d'Acclimatation de Nice et des Alpes-Maritimes, a learned society founded in 1860. Designed by Paul Martin, an engineer in arts and crafts and secretary general of the Society in 1900, the building was built in 1900 and inaugurated on April 8, 1901 by the President of the Republic, Emile Loubet. It was protected as a witness to the activities of a learned society and one of the remains of the Belle Epoque on the Promenade des Anglais.
