Lucien David
Lucien David was born in 1918 in Hyères. He is the son of Léon David architect who built many holiday villas in Hyères. He did the Beaux-Arts in Marseilles and was mobilized. After the war, he settled as an architect in Hyères. Man of his time, knowing how to surround himself, he carries out important operations in Hyères such as the port, the Pyanet operation, buildings (the Vendôme, the Oasis, etc.). For these operations, he has as partner Robert Biset Grand Prix architect of Rome. The Biset and David collaboration ran until the 1970s: at Biset the design and at David the assembly of operations and relations. He then joined forces with his son-in-law Alain Cara, architect, and continued to build villas, buildings and hotels mainly in the Var (Draguignan, Hyères and Saint-Tropez). The firm employs about ten people. Lucien David stopped in the 1990s and died in Hyères in 2005.
