The 7th Nights of Reading, organized for the second consecutive year by the National Book Centre on proposal of the Ministry of Culture, will hold January 19-22, 2023 during four evenings, with a highlight on Saturday, January 21.

The public will be invited to gather at thousands of physical and digital events around the theme of fear.

From tales and albums for children to fantastic stories, from dystopian sci-fi sagas to police investigations, to contemporary stories and essays that deal with our intimate and collective fears in the face of the crises we are going through, the motive of fear permeates the literature and invites us to explore all forms of narration, all formats of reading… especially at night!

Created in 2017 by the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the pleasure of reading, the Nuits de la Lecture have been able to conquer, over the years, an ever wider audience.
