Following the positive results of two diagnostics carried out prior to the development of a logistics platform, the regional archaeological service of the Drac Occitanie ordered an excavation in the municipality of Montbartier (Tarn-et-Garonne).
This intervention aimed at highlighting medieval and modern occupations, thus bringing new data for this sector of the Tarn-et-Garonne.
