To meet your expectations, the Heritage Information and Documentation Centre of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs makes available to all audiences (cultural professionals, researchers, students, associations but also anyone interested in this field) multiple resources and documentary advice.
Access to the library
The library includes 10,000 books and 355 periodical titles, 115 of which are live (Midi-Pyrénées heritage, Journal des Arts, Monumental, Archaeology, Gallia, theAnthropology...).
You can consult books related to culture in general and in particular to the humanities, art history, cultural policy, law, the economy of culture, cultural employment, audiences and cultural practices, artistic creation, museums, archives, books and reading...
You mainly have access to a fund related to the heritage sector and more particularly to archaeology (legislation, anthropology, ceramics, textiles, rocks and minerals, numismatics, epigraphy, underwater and aerial archaeology, regional monographs or thematic studies...) and monumental heritage (historical monuments, architecture, movable objects, gardens...).
The catalogue of the Archaeo Library is available online at Frantiq (Federation and resources on antiquity).
All our excavation reports, kept on the Toulouse site, are referenced on Frantiq.
Access to public archives
The Heritage Documentation and Information Centre provides the inventoried heritage archives, including excavation reports (over 6,500 references) and scientific records of archaeological operations in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The scientific archives are consulted by appointment.
