The management

Under the authority of the regional prefect, the director coordinates the implementation in Normandy of cultural policies decided by the Government and developed by the Ministry of Culture. To this end, it works closely with local and regional authorities, other State departments and the various cultural institutions present in the region.

Through the activities of the services it manages, it endeavours to support cultural creation and dissemination and to safeguard and enhance regional heritage. It also ensures the territory’s cultural development and expands the cultural offer to new audiences.
