Presentation of the Charter of cultural patronage by the Minister of Culture and Communication, Fleur Pellerin

This Charter is established in conjunction with Bercy, which aims to accompany the development of patronage by promoting, on the part of cultural actors, the application of legislation, in accordance with its fundamental principles, while at the same time respecting the common good, the specificities of cultural organizations and the prerogatives of patrons.  Patronage Thursdays

Cycle of conferences organized by the Mission du mécénat, usually at the Auditorium Colbert of the Institut national d'Histoire de l'art in Paris. Some conferences have given rise to transcripts that you will find on the site of the Ministry of Culture and Communication. Conferences are open to all, upon prior registration. (link opposite)

Sponsorship workshops

These meetings organized by the Patronage Mission are not open to the public. Nevertheless, you have some support for intervention, downloadable from the website of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, especially as regards: taxation, the different forms of foundations in France, in-kind sponsorship and skills sponsorship, endowment funds, etc. (link opposite)

Ten years of patronage

In 2013, the Ministry of Culture and Communication celebrates the ten years of the law of August 1, 2003 on patronage, The programme of this celebration will be progressively announced on this page, and will be marked by strong communication and exchanges on the unprecedented impact of this legislation and the future prospects of patronage in France.
  
The logo "2003-2013. Ten years of patronage" The event is designed to feature on all communication materials relating to sponsorship actions, from both project promoters and their partners. Its use extends beyond the cultural sphere to all works of general interest. (download the logo here)

Ten years of patronage

On September 5, 2013, The Post Office has issued a stamp commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Philanthropy Act. At the invitation of Aurélie Filippetti, Minister of Culture and Communication, the launch ceremony of this stamp took place on the same day at the Ministry of Culture and Communication, in the presence of Valérie Fourneyron, Minister of Sports, Youth, of Popular Education and Community Life. A little bit of history. On 1 August 2003, the "Aillagon Law" was adopted, which led to an unprecedented development of corporate philanthropy and individual philanthropy in France. Philanthropy is a gift in the form of material support to a non-profit organization or organization of general interest. It results in the payment of a donation (in cash, in kind or in competence) intended to support a philanthropic, educational, cultural, social, humanitarian project… Thanks to this law, which encourages private initiative and citizen engagement, more than 25,000 businesses and 5 million individuals are now using its provisions to serve the common good.
