Architecture and living environment in the Grand Est
Within the DRAC Grand Est, and the Pôle Patrimoines, the architecture advisor’s mission is to implement, at the regional level, the policy of the Ministry of Culture in the field of architecture, notably through the territorialization of the National Strategy for Architecture.
“Architecture is an expression of culture. The architectural creation, the quality of the constructions, their harmonious insertion into the surrounding environment, respect for natural or urban landscapes and heritage are in the public interest.” Article 1er Law 77-2 of 3 January 1977 on architecture.
As such, the Architecture Advisor is responsible for:
Contribudefine and implement regional architecture policy
- support for architecture dissemination structures, including associations, Maisons de l'architecture and Conseils d'architecture, d'urbanisme et de l'environnement (CAUE);
- implementation of architecture promotion events: local events or relay of national architecture promotion events;
- representation of the DRAC on the Regional Council of the Order of Architects;
Contribto define and implement the label policy "Remarkable contemporary architecture" in the region
- monitoring architectural creation in the regions (particularly with architectural agencies);
- definition and follow-up of thematic or territorial studies (for example sport architecture);
- documentary study and expertise of labelling projects;
- instruction on labelling procedures;
- actions to disseminate and promote the ACR label collection of the Great East to the general public and professionals.
Yearimer the reswater of the ten departmental units of architecture and heritage (UDAP) DRAC, in particular with the organisation of the quarterly AFB College and the monthly seminar "Theory and Practice of Architectural Control";
Represent the DRAC on the boards of regional architecture schools, in conjunction with the Head of Mission for Higher Education Culture and in relations with universities;
Contribute to the definition and to the realization of the mission of architects state council allocated to the DRAC;
Organize Section 2 sessions of the Regional Commission on Heritage and Architecture (RCAP) in particular for appeals on the opinions of the ABFs;
Participate in actions defining the programs of contemporary interventions in historical monuments.
