Arts and cultural education
Arts and cultural education and its generalization are a priority for the Government. Its challenges are the transmission of the common heritage, the understanding of the artistic gesture and the creative process, as well as the initiation to artistic practices and the development of creativity.
An interdepartmental policy
The Ministry of Culture, as well as the Ministry of Education, but also those responsible for higher education, youth, agriculture, justice and the city, mobilize, in partnership with local authorities and cultural operators, to ensure that all children and young people benefit from this education during their schooling, as in school-related times (daycare, study and recreation centre) and out of school (in families and between peers) throughout their schooling (from kindergarten to university).
A national plan
The implementation of Arts and Cultural Education (EAC) is part of a national plan government-driven. It aims at the generalization of arts and cultural education in all territories, especially in rural territories and in peripheral areas of cities to meet the objectives of cultural democratization and territorial equity.
