Dance
The DRAC Grand Est implements, at the regional level, the State policy defined, in the Ministry of Culture, with the Directorate General of Artistic Creation (DGCA).
Within the DRAC’s Creative Division, the "Danse" advisors intervene on all choreographic forms: classical, contemporary and jazz dance.
The Counsellor’s work covers three main areas:
- creation and dissemination;
- advice and information;
- training and special education.
its main missions
- theexamination of grant applications cultural structures and independent teams;
- the examination of applications for aid for the creation of dance teams (aid is granted on the advice of a committee of experts);
- the support and advice professional dance teams;
- the monitoring of institutions of specialized arts education in dance;
- the monitoring of rankings and requests for filing of conservatories (CRR, CRD and CRC/CRI);
- lInformation and monitoring of the application of thee (now part of the Education Code)technical proficiency test (EAT) and the state diploma in dance (DE) ;
- lInformation for professionals on the training issues and also the Council of Local and Regional Authorities'Specialised teaching ;
- the follow-up of requests relating to entertainment contractor licenses ;
- for the departments of Haut and Bas-Rhin, the adviser also examines the investment files for projects for the restoration of unclassified organs and the construction of new organs.
Request for assistance
The DRAC Grand Est’s decentralized aid for live entertainment is twofoldx kinds:
- Aid for contractual arrangements (multi annual)
The agreement is intended to accompany the artists' journey, artists' collectives, companies and professional ensembles whose dissemination capacities go beyond the regional framework for the implementation of their artistic and cultural project as a whole.
It is granted for two, three or four consecutive years with regard to the evaluation of the artistic and cultural project. This assistance is intended for the most innovative and confirmed teams on the artistic level and whose achievements have a national reputation.
- Project support (ad hoc)
This is a one-time grant to support the production of a new creation, or to allow the resumption or recreation of a show after a period of interruption.
