Nights of Reading in the Great East
At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture, libraries and bookstores open their doors to the public for a longer period, evening and night, to welcome all those who wish to share, in a playful way, the book and the reading. An event organised by the National Book Centre.
In 2023, the event will take place from 19 to 22 January 2023
Theme: Fear
At night, it is a reinvented universe of the book that lets itself be apprehended through the many animations offered, offering a privileged context for a playful discovery.
Readings in pajamas, in music, meetings with authors, debates, shows, treasure hunts..., young and old will be able to discover or re-discover, as soon as nightfalls, the wealth of libraries and bookstores in a new light.
An event organized in collaboration with the different actors of book and reading: libraries, bookstores, authors, publishers, schools, local associations, etc.
For event organizers, registration... is done at the national level on the dedicated website, preferably before December 6, 2022, to benefit from the communication tools set up by the National Book Centre, which has been organising the event since 2022.
