Intended for individuals, elected officials and public or private planners, the "Works in protected areas" tip sheets are intended to explain the regulatory conditions and the purpose of applications for authorisation in order to facilitate the implementation of their project.

The fact sheets, published by the Departmental Units of Architecture and Heritage (UDAP) of the Grand Est, allow to those interested in renovating an old building or installing a solar energy source on a property located in a remarkable heritage site or in the vicinity of a historic monument to ask oneself, upstream of the project, the questions that will promote its success.
These sheets also provide methods and tools for using the territory in an economical and rational way.
In accordance with the codes of town planning and heritage, the works must be the subject, at least, of a preliminary declaration of works to be deposited in town hall.
