As a country of art and history, the territory conducts a policy of heritage enhancement and animation for the inhabitants, the young public and the tourist public. Various activities are scheduled throughout the year (guided tours, new animations, children’s workshops, national events of the Ministry of Culture, exhibitions, training courses, conferences, etc.). Educational interventions (visits and workshops) are organized in school time and outside school time and a comprehensive offer of visits and lectures is offered to groups. In order to continue the implementation of these actions, the Loire Touraine Country recruits an e-speaker guide. to strengthen its team composed today of 8 agents (1 manager, 5 mission managers, 1 manager-accountant and 1 administrative assistant).

Located in the north-east of the department of Indre-et-Loire (37), the territory of the Loire Touraine Country has 4 communities of communes, 55 communes and 108,000 inhabitants. Since 2009, Pays Loire Touraine belongs to the national network of Cities and Countries of Art of History, label of the Ministry of Culture.

Under the authority of the President, the Team Manager and the Project Leader of the Country of Art and History, the/the guide lecturer. Its tasks will be:

Mediation of the heritage and architecture of the Pays d'art et d'histoire with all audiences

Animation of awareness actions of young people about heritage, architecture and landscapes (visits and educational workshops alone or in pairs with another speaker)
Animation of guided tours in different forms, for an audience of individuals in French, and punctually in English or Italian
Facilitation of visits and conferences for groups formed

Support for the design and implementation of heritage enhancement and mediation actions

Participation in the design, implementation and animation of events in the Pays d'art et d'histoire
Assistance in the preparation and implementation of visits and heritage events for individuals
Documentary and iconographic research
Writing assistance for the production of publications, exhibitions or any mediation support

Communication and promotion of the Pays d'art et d'histoire label

Assistance in the preparation and design of communication materials (program brochures, flyers, animation posters, publications)
Implementation of the dissemination plan for all communication tools
Recording of events and animations on the online booking platform, and on any other means of Internet communication
Animation of pages dedicated to the Country of Art and History of the Loire Touraine website and social networks (Facebook and Instagram)
Participation in any label promotion event
Prospecting and communicating with new audiences

Participate in the functioning of the structure

Participation in meetings of the Country (Bureau, Trade Union Committee, etc.) and presentation times of the structure (for elected officials and technicians of the communities of the territory) in connection with the Country team

Training and experience requirements

You are the holder of the Cities and Countries of Art and History and/or National Speaker Guide Card or the new National Speaker Guide Card.
You have at least 5 years of experience in a “City or Country of Art and History” service.
You are trilingual: French, English, Italian.
Your background has allowed you to acquire solid knowledge in History of Art, Heritage, Architecture and History European, national, regional and local and you have a knowledge of the territory and heritage of the Loire Touraine Country.
You have experience of cultural mediation with different types of audiences, you are familiar with research and you are sensitive to the development of innovative actions in this area.

Know-how and know-how

Excellent writing skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork skills, efficiency, rigour and imagination.
Mastery of multimedia tools.

Conditions for recruitment

Part-time position 28/35th based in Pocé-sur-Cisse (37) on a 3 year contract to be filled on 1 March 2023
Position open to contract employees (compensation based on experience based on the territorial facilitator index - category B)
Availability on certain evenings and weekends depending on the activities of the service and its programming
Permit B and personal vehicle required (must travel within the territory)
