Reporting to the director of tourism, events and promotion of the territory, you implement the convention City of art and history signed with the Ministry of Culture. In this regard, you develop a policy to promote architecture and heritage and coordinate its actions.

The Directorate of Tourism and Events coordinates three major policies: Events, Tourism and City of Art and History, the synergy of which must foster the development of the image of the territory, the feeling of well-beingTo be, of the good life of its inhabitants and to strengthen the economic activity of local actors especially in tourism: all this in the service of its initial objective of promotion to Orléans.

Activities

  • Measures for the local population and tourists

Implement action programmes for the local population and tourists (discovery visits, temporary exhibitions, workshops, meetings, etc.) with a view to raising public awareness of the architectural, urban and landscape heritage of the territory 

  • Educational actions

In charge of the educational service of the Label which offers actions to raise awareness and discover Orleans architecture and heritage to young people (creation of sessions, acquisition of teaching tools, contact with the teachings, organization of receptions, etc.) 

  • Network leader and City reference for architecture and heritage

Develop local and external partnerships in the context of the City’s influence and the label. Participation in the VPAH network

Participate in the Mediation component of the Loire Valley-World Heritage

Participate in management meetings, meetings of heads of cultural institutions and those responsible for cultural activities

Participate in steering committees on cross-cutting projects (tourism in particular) and be associated with meetings/projects concerning the city’s heritage development, architecture and urban planning

  • Guide Speaker Training

Coach candidates for the Speaker Guide Competition, follow-up of the Speaker Guides and implementation of ongoing training 

  • Communication

Set up, with the Communications Department, a policy of publishing heritage documents for the outreach and development of Orléans, Ville d'art et d'histoire (temporary programming documents and permanent knowledge dissemination documents), according to the national graphic charter of the VPAH label:

Application conditions

Nature of tests:
As future project leaders, the candidates will have to take a methodological test of a duration of 1h30, on computer, in distance on Thursday, February 2 in the morning.
Then, the candidate will take an oral test consisting of a scenario (guided tour of a short city circuit) and an interview with the jury on Monday, February 6 morning or Friday, February 10 morning.
