Places of the performing arts in Centre-Val de Loire
The strategic action of the State consists in carefully monitoring the evolution of the organization of the labeled structures, the renewal of their directorates, the implementation of their projects related for some to the inauguration of the equipment and finally to the adequacy of their artistic projects to the needs of the territories in which they are located. The objective is to strengthen this network, while preserving an artistic margin and modernising the equipment.
The DRAC defends to its interlocutors an efficient organization of work, without the drift of the wage masses and reflects, with them, on the conditions of production beyond the only issues of diffusion. If particular attention is paid to the development of cooperation in order to avoid the isolation of managers of structures, it will also be to independent structures and teams that develop innovative actions and whose discourse speaks to and of the society of the 21st century. Work will be carried out to foster the link between the labelled places. Indeed, the richness and density of the artistic presence in the region can only contribute to its attractiveness.
The DRAC wishes to continue its policy of investment support for institutional organizations for the improvement and renewal of their scenographic and technical parks, as well as for studies in anticipation of new places. While the Centre-Val de Loire region has a fairly balanced network of certified equipment and artistic teams of good standard, guaranteeing artistic diversity, work is being done by the DRAC to strengthen these venues.
The metropolisation of Orléans and Tours must be accompanied so that a balance is found between the major facilities of their urban territory, and the cooperation to be established in a wider territory.
The Centre dramatique régional de Tours (CDRT), directed by Jacques Vincey, has evolved into the Centre dramatique national (CDNT), which will strengthen a structuring axis and a possibility of dialogue with all the disciplines of the show, in a city without a national stage. The project to build a new venue for the Centre chorégraphique national de Tours (CCNT), led by Thomas Lebrun, is progressing and construction could start in 2019).
In Orléans, Maud Le Pladec took the lead of the CCNO; and Sèverine Chavrier of the CDNO.
All the labelled structures, as well as the agreed scenes, have specific subsidies for the development of a public service. This element is essential to anchor the structure in the territory. A territorial rebalancing is sought for the coming years to take into account the evolution of artistic projects.
