2020 has been a special year for all of us. Health conditions did not allow us to complete the cycle of conferences initially planned and only two conferences could be proposed at the beginning of the year. It is for this reason that we propose you to resume the cycle dedicated to parks and gardens in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
Indeed, the quality and diversity of the topics discussed will meet the expectations of the public and will be fully part of the national operation of the Rendez-vous aux jardins 2021, renewed on the same theme of the «Transmission of knowledge»
Dual purpose
The cycle of conferences proposed one Thursday per month (except in July and August), since 2009, meets a double objective: to enhance the trades by involving specialists, curators, academics, architects, restorers and treat by example, a subject of history, art history or history of techniques.
The themes chosen over the past eight years have made it possible to make known and share the meaning of the public policies carried out by the DRAC Centre-Val de Loire, whether they concern the conservation of monuments or furniture, protected spaces, archaeology or plastic arts.
These conferences have succeeded in retaining a certain audience over the years, and their varied themes have also made it possible to broaden it.

The sanitary conditions in force do not allow us to maintain, as planned, the face-to-face conferences in Canopé, this first semester. In partnership with the Association of Parks and Gardens in the Centre-Val de Loire region (APJRC), the DRAC services have recorded the presentations of some conferences.

April 22 conference: "Looking for a lost landscape" by Fabienne Audebrand and Xavière Desternes
May 20th Conference: "Arboretum in the Centre-Val de Loire region, between experimentation and landscape" by Michèle Quentin
