The advisor for the plastic arts implements, at the regional level, the policy of the State (Ministry of Culture and Communication, Directorate-General for Artistic Creation) in the field of contemporary visual creation.
In this capacity, it provides advice, expertise and evaluation to artists, managers of structures (Fonds régional d'art contemporain (FRAC), art centres and other associations) or local and regional authorities in the fields of creation, dissemination, and artistic teachings.
The Plastic Arts Advisor also ensures the implementation and monitoring of public procurement and 1% artistic.
