Our Missions
The regional management includes several sites: site headquarters in Dijon, site in Besançon and departmental units of architecture and heritage (UDAP) for the 8 departments, located respectively in Dijon, Mâcon, Nevers, Auxerre, Besançon, Vesoul, Belfort and Lons-le-Saunier.
Decentralized service of the Ministry of Culture placed under the authority of the Prefect of Region, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) of Burgundy-Franche-Comté contributes to the dissemination of public policies in the region. It monitors the application of regulations and implements scientific and technical controls, such as advice and evaluation, in its various areas of competence.

The DRAC also has an important advisory and expertise function with local authorities, institutional actors and cultural structures. In this way, it is the privileged interlocutor of elected officials, artists, professionals, associations and all citizens who wish to develop the cultural sector.
