The triptych called "The Master of Mills" nestled in the sacristy of the cathedral of Moulins (Allier) is recognized worldwide as a masterpiece of the early Renaissance. In early November 2022, he left the cathedral to join the workshops of the Centre de recherche et de restauration des musées de France (C2RMF) where he will be restored.

Careful examination of the work in advance of its departure, antifungal treatment and facing* installation by restorers. To ensure the follow-up of the work, a state finding known as “initial report” is written.
*The front consists in gluing one or more protective papers on the pictorial layer, allowing the protection of the pictorial layer.

- Packing and transport of triptych
Insulated crates with probe installation inside to control humidity.
Directional arrows are painted on the crates and indicate the direction in which they must travel. This sense is imperatively respected throughout the transport.
