Initiate SODAVI

The Guidance Scheme for the Development of Visual Arts (SODAVI), accompanied by the State, is a tool for the joint construction of public policies in favour of the visual arts, serving professional actors of the visual arts and the public. Broken down according to territorial specificities, its objective is to establish a diagnosis of the existing situation and any gaps, but also to identify and federate the work of all the actors in a process of non hierarchical consultation. It should make it possible to include in the duration the consultation, the valorization and the development of visual arts by identifying priority work themes. The DRAC are invited to develop one or more SODAVI to build shared diagnostics that will lead to coordinated actions. If each SODAVI leads to different observations and recommendations depending on the territory and the actors gathered, the common challenge is to think about support mechanisms focused on the professional life of artists as creators of artistic and economic value in the territories and more only on works.

Two SODAVI projects are currently underway in the Pays de la Loire:

- a SODAVI "Initial and continuing training" carried by the Visual arts Pays de la Loire on Ligian territory.

- a SODAVI "Création – Métiers d'art" worn by Le Kiosque – Mayenne, initiated jointly by the DRAC des Pays de la Loire and the DRAC Normandie, in the territory of North Mayenne and South Orne.
