Service Territoires et publics — Drac Pays de la Loire
The Territories and Public Service is responsible for driving a cultural development approach centred on the public and the territories, based on policies, Measures and aid from the Ministry of Culture for the promotion of cultural democratization in relation to all DRAC services, in particular through contractual and conventional tools with the territories and administrations.
This approach is carried out in partnership with local authorities, the artistic and cultural actors in the region and in liaison with the other administrations of the State so as to integrate as far as possible an approach of cultural and territorial development in the policies and arrangements specific to the local authorities that the State’s transversal contractual arrangements (city contracts, rural contracts, etc.).
This policy is developed primarily for young people and populations far from the artistic and cultural offer.
Key Activities:
- Support for local and regional authorities in the implementation of territorial cultural development policies, in progress or being implemented with the support of sector advisors and heritage services: CLEAC (local arts and cultural education contracts), CDC (cultural development conventions), etc. ;
- Promote the development missions of audiences of artistic and cultural companies and structures in the regions, in the first place those that are certified and/or agreed with the State (national scenes, conventioned scenes, contemporary music scenes, national centres, art centres, etc.). (The structural reports of these institutions and/or agreed with the State fall under DRAC Sector Advisors) ;
- Implement regionally the interdepartmental partnerships and thematic schemes developed by the Ministry of Culture: Culture/Youth (National Education, Youth and Sport), Culture/Justice, Culture/Health, Culture/Disability, Culture/Agriculture, Culture and City Policy, Culture and Rural World, Culture/Tourism, Culture and World of Work, Culture and Popular Education, Media Literacy… ;
- Ensure the regional monitoring of heritage devices contributing to the development of territories and audiences such as Cities and Countries of Art and History, It’s my Heritage, the Houses of Illustres, cultural meeting centers in the regions (support for the implementation of current agreements, network facilitation, new applications, renewal procedures, etc.).
