Service Cinéma, audiovisuel et multimédia — Drac Pays de la Loire

Since January 2000 and in order to improve the territorial policy of the State in the field of cinema, the Ministry of Culture and the National Film Centre (CNC) have wished to strengthen the regional directorates of cultural affairs by the presence of advisors for the cinema and the audiovisual.

The adviser is the privileged contact of the various regional actors in the film industry and provides them with information and advice, particularly as regards the procedures covered by the CNC, such as the authorisation to practise, the award of the label “art et essai” means selective aids to the creation and modernization of theatres. It also examines applications for multiplexes.

The service participates in the coordination and monitoring of national operations for the promotion of cinema towards the young audience «School and cinema», «Film college», «High school students in cinema» conducted in partnership with the services of the National Education, local authorities and professional partners.

The advisor is also the CNC’s regional correspondent for its Multimedia Creation Assistance Facility (DICREAM). Coordinating the main artistic directorates of the Ministry of Culture, this program aims to boost artistic creation by using new tools from the digital world.
