UDAP of Haute-Vienne (87)
Because the consideration of heritage and architectural and landscape quality is at the heart of its missions, the Departmental Unit of Architecture and Heritage (UDAP) of Haute-Vienne controls, advises and values projects in protected areas. It also ensures the conservation of historic monuments belonging to the State.
The UDAP de la Haute-Vienne is a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, technicians and administrative staff who advise you on your work on a protected site.

What is a Protected Area?
Architects of buildings in France are involved in two main categories of protected areas.
Under the Heritage Code, are concerned:
- the surroundings of the Historic Monuments, whether they are demarcated perimeters (PDA) or spaces located within 500m of the historical monuments;
- Remarkable Heritage Sites (SPRs).
Under the Environment Code, are concerned:
- listed or classified sites.
Do you want to undertake work?
The process for obtaining a work authorization varies depending on the context of your project. Located on a protected site, it must respect specific principles.
