This network, the result of a partnership between the Normandy Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs, the Normandy Academy and the Normandy Regional Council, supports contemporary regional creation and its dissemination in schools and universities.
In today’s environment, culture is more than ever a priority and a necessity. Arts and cultural education remains a strong lever to combat inequalities in access to culture, inequalities that are particularly significant in the field of contemporary creation: the attendance of works is not sufficiently obvious for all and we know the weight of geographical barriers, but also social, economic, mental barriers that remain impassable for too many.
The Ministry of Culture has placed at the heart of its missions this question of transmission and democratization; it carries with the Ministry of National Education this ambitious goal of the generalization of arts and cultural education. To this end, it is essential that the multiplied efforts be joint, thanks in particular to partnerships with public actors, closer to the citizens.
The renewed partnership with the academic region and the Normandy region for this 6th edition of the regional DE VISU system demonstrates this again.

All the works presented at the Jumièges Abbey, from December 2 to 31, 2022, are intended to take their full place in schools and higher education. Each of the artists will have the chance to live this special moment of encounter with an audience: students of course but also the educational community. They will have the opportunity to show and understand their reflection, their creative process, their unique methods and techniques.
